Rina's experiment

Linda looked at the doctor’s report in horror. In bold letters, the report confirmed her pregnancy. It’s almost like a death sentence to her. Don’t get her wrong. She loves kids and wants to have kids of her own but the time now is just not right.

Her career had just taken off. She finally had the chance to act beside her husband often ever since their public announcement of their marriage half a year ago. If her husband knows about her pregnancy, he would force her to quit the job she loves dearly and stay home.

“Yamashita Linda-san!” the nurse called her, breaking her thoughts.

Linda looked up and smiled sheepishly. “Sumimasen,” she bowed her head and quickly took her prescriptions.

As she drove home, her mind started to wander.

~A few months ago~

Linda got back home early one evening. She was barely inside the house when her husband jumped on her. “Tomohisa! Chotto matte yo! What are you doing?” she asked as he carried her off to the bedroom.

He put her on the bed. “I’m going to take a shower for awhile, ok?” she said, kissing his cheek.

“Be fast,” he growled.

Linda looked at him, puzzled by his behavior. She took a quick shower and covered herself with a bathrobe. She sat next to him. “Tomohisa, what happened to you?” she asked gently.

Yamapi looked up from where he’s sitting. “I do not know. When I came back, I found a soup made by Rina. She wrote a note, saying that I should drink the soup till the last bit. I drank the soup. It was delicious. A few hours later, I started to get hot and aroused,” he replied, looking pained.

“Soup? I think she…” before Linda could finish her sentence, Yamapi had silenced her with his lips and kissing her hungrily and full of need.

That night, they made love a few times till Yamapi was satisfied and the soup’s concoction wore off.

The next day, Rina was home and looked at her brother and sister-in-law excitedly. Yamapi saw her and grabbed her hand. “What did you do?” he demanded.

Rina laughed. “It’s just turtle soup. I heard about it as an aphrodisiac so I thought of testing it out on you and your wife. How is it? Does it work? Will I see my nephews or nieces soon?” she asked.

“A what? Rina! You test on us? What else did you try on us? Are you trying to tell me that I am weak?” Yamapi asked, unhappy.

Rina shrugged. “Nee-chan, how was it?” she asked, ignoring her fuming brother.

Linda laughed. “It was hmm…a surprised incident. Don’t do it anymore, ok, Rina?” she asked.

Rina nodded but knew that the soup worked for them. Her mom and her plan were working as planned. Her mom had confided in her before that she was worried for them as they barely had time for each other much less planned to have a baby so they had no choice but to resort to dirty tricks.

~end of flashback~

When Linda reached home, there was no one. Yamapi would not get home that early so she had time to find a suitable place to hide the documents that stated her pregnancy. She locked all the documents in a small safe at the back of her cupboard and pretend that nothing happened. She decided to tell Yamapi about it only when she’s five months pregnant. Now, she’s only 2 months pregnant, she still got time to make use of her time to enjoy herself.

A few weeks passed.

Yamapi noticed that Linda has been acting strangely lately. She will eat some tablets secretly which she told him that those are vitamin tablets to keep her healthy and its only for women when he asked but she would never show him the tablets. Not only that, there were a few times when she switched off her hp when he tried calling her. It will always be every two weeks on Wednesday when she did that. When she comes back on that day, she would stash something inside her cupboard when she thought that he did not see it.

Then, there were a few times, he heard her throwing up but when he asked about it, she would pretend that it was just his imagination.

Yamapi was curious to know and so one day, he asked for an off day from work and ransacked his wife’s cupboard. When he found the documents and pictures, he was shocked to know the truth.

Linda went home as per normal that day. When she returned, she was surprised to see Yamapi at home. “Tomo-chan, you are home early,” she chirped.

Yamapi looked at her, his face stern. “Sit down. I need to talk to you,” he replied in a no-nonsense tone.

Linda sat down quietly. She was shocked to see the documents and pictures of the baby scans on the table. “What is this?” he asked, pointing to the papers.

Linda kept quiet. “Linda, answer me! Why are you keeping this a secret? Until when are you going to keep this a secret? You are pregnant, right?” he asked, furious.

Linda nodded timidly. “Answer me! Where’s your voice?” he raised his voice.

“I’m sorry. I keep it a secret because I still want to work. I don’t want to stay at home,” she voiced out.

“Work? In your condition? No way! You are quitting as from this moment. I will not hear any protest. You disappoint me. I hated it when you keep secrets from me especially if it concerns things like this,” he said.

Linda nodded. “I’m sorry. I know I’m wrong,” she apologized.

“No more going to work, understand?” he ordered.

“Please let me work,” she begged.

“No, this is your punishment. You should know better than to do something like this,” he remarked.

“Tomohisa, please let me work. I’m pregnant, not sick,” she begged again, on her knees.

He shook his head. “No,” he answered, adamant with his decision.

Linda frowned. “I will continue working no matter what you say,” she replied, standing up and walked away.

Yamapi grabbed her hand and looked at her in her eyes. His eyes were furious. “Don’t defy me. I’m your husband,” he threatened.

Linda refused to back down. “I am not defying you if you let me continue to work,” she said.

“Linda!” he shouted angrily, tightening his grip on her.

Linda pushed him away. Yamapi stumbled back a bit in surprise and both fell down with Linda on top of him. “Linda, are you ok?” he asked anxiously.

Linda grimaced. “My stomach…” she whispered, clutching it.

Yamapi quickly rushed to the hospital. Luckily, the baby was saved. The doctor told Linda not to work and stay at home till childbirth to prevent any accidents as she was pretty weak. “I told you to stay at home,”Yamapi replied.

Linda turned away. “Sweetheart, its for our baby ok,” his voice softened.

Linda faced him. “I’m sorry,” she apologized.

Yamapi grinned and kissed her forehead. “Let’s look forward for our baby’s arrival, ok?” he smiled.
